First Lake Ontario report of the season!
APRIL 2019

Lake trolling season is under way and the bite has been really good! We have done 5 lake trips so far in April. All if our trips have been limit catches. We have caught Lake Trout and Brown Trout are the two main species we have been targeting. We have seen a few salmon show up on our last two trips. King Salmon, Coho Salmon and Atlantic Salmon. This bite is on fire right now and it's going to get better as the month goes on. Don't miss out on some of the best action of the year! I only have a few days available to get the NET WET... call, text or email me for availability. 716-550-0413 wetnetcharters@hotmail.com

March 14th fishing report...

We fished 3 of the last 4 days on the Niagara River. We covered a lot of water using Mag Lips, minnows and egg sacs catching fish everywhere we stopped. There are also a lot of fresh lake run steelhead moving into the river now along with some brown trout and steelhead that wintered over in the river. The whole river is loaded with fish! If your looking to fish the Niagara River now through April is the time. The spring bite should be epic this year. Let's GET THE NET WET  Call or Text (716) 550-0413

March 3rd

The good bite continues!

I fished with Richard Brant during the Niagara River Anglers Steelhead tournament on Saturday. I fished right along with him (something I don't get to do very often). We had a great time and caught a lot of fish.
We targeted browns for about an hour mid-day trying to win the side pot for the biggest brown. We landed 3 browns but they didn't end up being big enough. We landed about 20 fish and lost quite a few more during the course of the day. One of the Steelhead we caught was big enough for a second place win!

Congratulations to Richard for landing the 2nd place Steelhead
at 10 lbs. 8 oz .

February was not a disappointment this year. The bite stayed solid for the whole month. Lots of multi species catches including Steelhead, Brown trout, Lake trout and Walleye. There are a lot of fish in the system this year. March should be a really good month on the river also. Trolling season is right around the corner...we start open water trolling for browns and lakers in April. BOOK your trip now to get the dates you want for the upcoming 2019 season. Dates are filling up fast. LET'S GET THE NET WET - Call or Text (716) 550-0413

February 2019

February is one of those months that won't let you down when you can get on the water. Yes it's COLD...Yes there will be some ice to deal with...Yes it will probably be windy...Yes the lid on the minnow bucket might freeze on...Yes the water is 32 deg (liquid ice) but YES you WILL catch fish. The steelhead and walleye are in a prespawn feeding binge. They need to build up their energy reserves for the spawn in March and April. This feeding binge makes they a little easier to catch at this time. So if your looking for a cure for cabin fever...Call,text or email me and you will get the NET WET or FROZEN...

December 2018 Fishing report.

It's hard to describe how good the fishing was this December and still make it believable. This was by far the best December I've ever had on the Niagara. The brown trout bite was by far the best I've ever seen. The Steelhead bite was very good also. With that being said we had good quantity and quality on all of our trips.

Looking forward to the fishing in January and February being just as good!

2018 was a really good year for WET NET CHARTERS. Thank you to all of the customers that made this a great 2018 a success.
